As one of the pioneers of the craft whiskey world, I was the first head distiller of one of the first craft distilleries in the world–Stranahan's Colorado Whiskey. When I created the Snowflake program at Stranahan's, I became the first craft whiskey to ever employ additional cask maturation technique. That was over 20 years ago. I have spent the last 20 years crafting some of the best whiskies in the world, now I want to share them with you.
Jake Norris is recognized as one of the pioneers of the craft distilling revolution. In his role as founding Head Distiller for Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey in 2004, Jake made the first ever “Colorado Whiskey”.
As founding head distiller of Laws Whiskey House, Jake helped to create A.D. Laws Four Grain Bourbon, the first four grain bourbon ever made in Colorado as well as Laws award winning straight rye whiskey, straight barley whiskey and straight corn whiskey.
I saw this as an opportunity to play with flavor and share my passion for great whiskey, without all the snobbery and gatekeeping. This is like a art print, it is a limited edition experience… TO BE EXPERIENCED! I know people like to collect, Id ask them to drink these. These bottles are to be shared with close friends and used to commemorate moments.
Through his work at Stranahan’s Colorado Whiskey and Laws Whiskey House, Jake has designed and distilled the whiskies that define the craft whiskey category.

Jake’s work as a consultant has taken him across the country, designing distilleries, writing recipes, designing production, and training the next generation of craft distillers.
